She won the first YouTube music video award, got signed to a label, but keeps making independent music."īrannan deals with his own other sort of fame, from being one of the brave actors in the John Cameron Mitchell film Shortbus who had a graphic sex scene, in his case, a sexy threeway with a male couple. "The viral video thing, for her, was a quintessential example. "She's been enjoying online success for years," said Brannan. Terra Naomi, one of the musicians also performing on the bill this Friday with Brannan, is also a bit of an Internet sensation.
